The department is currently waiting on the Office of Management and Budget to sign off on the payment plan, Northey said. As we reported last week, USDA’s Farm Service Agency still needs to have acreage reports filed by individual farmers. Last week, the agency extended the deadline for filing those documents until next Monday in a dozen states that were hit the hardest by storms and flooding this year.
