Democrats Rep. David Scott (GA) and Jim Costa (CA) have expressed interest in seeking chairmanship of the House Agriculture Committee. Rep. Scott is the senior of the two. Rep. Costa is a dairy farmer from California’s Central Valley. There is some talk that Rep. Marcia Fudge (OH) may seek the chairmanship of a critical committee.
